Qigong Healing - 2 Main Approaches
"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for life" Chinese Proverb
When it comes to using the healing qigong to get rid of pain or illness, there are two main approaches (pssst, there is a third, but you have to read to find out what it is).
1. Learn qigong and qigong practice - in fact you use qigong to heal itself.
2. Go to a qualified qigong healer and heal him.
Personally, I think the best option is number 1. This set: Give someone a fish and you feed them for a day vs. teaching them to fish and feed them for a lifetime thang is great with me.
But as qigong work, and what you are trying to achieve, or do the work yourself or if a qigong healer to do it for you?
When I speak of healing, what I'm talking about is the removal of blockages to the harmonious flow of energy through energy streams (meridians) of the body.
So, option 1, you are responsible for removing the locks. In option 2 the curator of Chi Kung is responsible for removing the locks.
Now if you go to a healer as I qigong, there is a third option, as well as me working 'on' that you remove the locks, I'll teach qigong exercises that you can practice to continue and accelerate the work I have done .
Personally I have always been a big fan of option 1. You learn a good qigong teacher and then you practice what was taught - every day - and you work on you. You get rid of the locks, you are your own healer qigong.
Using the metaphor of the fish I'd rather have you learned to feed themselves than come to me for a fish.
Teaching qigong people is one of the most fun and rewarding that I do, because they know they can use the skills they learn to be your own healer ..
You see, I'm not sure if Western society is lazy or if our lives are so full of crazy busy-ness that we simply do not have time to care for ourselves. We are so used to going to others to take care of our needs.
Feeling bad - go to the doctor. The car does not work well - go to the garage. The house needs redecorating - go to the manufacturers, etc.
Now do not get me wrong, I'm the first to advocate giving the task to professionals to get them done, but his health is something you should not leave the hands of "professionals". Your health is something you should be actively involved in in on a daily basis and Chi Kung is a great tool to do that.
Here is a story.
Let's say you have two men. One is severely overweight and rich as Solomon. The other is in great health, but poor as a weasel.
The rich man said: "I'll give you a billion pounds to transplant my head on your shoulders and your head on my shoulders. Once I get your wonderful body and you get mine. But you will also be rich."
I bet before long years, the rich man's body healthy new look it had before - overweight and exhausted and the poor guy who has the body above the weight would be fit and healthy again.
You see that is not what is done, you too, is what you do for you.
