Frequently Asked Questions...
How well is my exercise plan?
This is my exercise plan:
I plan to work out every day, one day upper body, the next lower.
Day 1:
Cardio: elliptical crosstrainer for 30 min.
Leg pressess: 5 reps of 10 at starting at 120 pounds and increasing by 10 each rep
Calves: 5 reps of 10 starting at 190 pounds and increasing by 10 each rep
Day 2:
Cardio: ellipical crosstrainer for 30 min
Preacher curl: 5 reps of 10 starting at 60 pounds increasing by 10 each rep
Superpullover: 5 reps of 10 starting at 90 pounds increasing by 10 each rep.
chest press: 5 reps of 10 starting at 60 pounds increasing by 10 each rep.
This will occur everyday depending on if it is an upperbody (day 2) or lowerbody day (day 1). What do you guys think of this?
Answer:
Honestly, it looks unresearched and wont work that well.
Not only do you need more specialization (upper body in 30 minutes????? So you plan to work your chest, back, traps, biceps, triceps, forearms, and entire core to failure in 30 minutes?), but a different approach. Doing only leg presses and "calves" - whatever those are - aren't gonna do much. You need squats, lunges, dumbbell lunges, leg press, incline leg press, calf raises, hamstring and quadriceps curls for legs alone.
Go to bodybuilding.com and do more research.
And either do only cardio for weight loss, or only lifting for weight gain. Don't do equal amounts of both or you won't see any benefit.
