What is a half marathon prep schedule for someone who can only run every other day?
I get shin splints if I run consecutive days. I have tried all sorts of running schedules and have found that IF and ONLY IF I run every other day do I avoid shin splints. Does anyone know of an every other day half marathon "prep" schedule? I have been a runner for about 2 years.

Prize Money for Montserrat Volcano Half Marathon Increased
BRADES, Montserrat (July 2, 2010) – Prize money for the 2nd Montserrat Volcano Half-Marathon has been increased, says organizers.
According to a statement from the Montserrat Running Club there has been "an almost 50% increase in prize money" for the November 27th, 2010 event. "The main beneficiaries will be the top female participants in the half-marathon, who will now receive the exact amount of cash as their male counterparts. Therefore, both the first place female and male runner will now each receive EC$1000, EC$750 for finishing second and EC$500 for third. The first youth under the age of 18 years will receive EC$500."
"In addition, there will now be first, second and third place prizes for the top runners and walkers in the Fun Run-Walk from Cudjoe Head to Salem Park. The first runner and walker to complete the course will now each receive EC$200, with EC$150 awarded to second place finishers and EC$100 for third.
"The 2nd Annual Montserrat Volcano Half Marathon will take place on Saturday November 27th, 2010 on the tiny British Overseas Territory of Montserrat located in the north-west Caribbean. The race is organised by the Montserrat Running Club, and will be in support of the local child support and advocacy group Childline. The main sponsors for the event are the Montserrat Tourist Board, LIME, United Insurance/ Jacquie Ryan Enterprises, the Governor's Office and the Government of Montserrat's Sports Department.
"Registration for the Half-Marathon costs EC$50 (US$18.50) for residents and EC$100 (US$38) for non-residents. This strenuous event involves a route that passes some of the key tourism attractions on Montserrat, with views of the active Soufrière Hills Volcano and some of the areas it has impacted. Points of interest along the route will include the Blakes Football Field, Montserrat Cultural Centre, the new town centre in Little Bay, Runaway Ghaut, the entrance to Sir George Martin's AIR Studios and the Belham River Valley which is covered in volcanic rubble. The course is a very hilly one, with spectacular sea-views including the neighbouring islands of Antigua, Guadeloupe, Redonda and Nevis.
"In addition to the 13.1-mile Volcano Half-Marathon course, fun runners and walkers will be invited to participate in a section of the route from Cudjoe Head to Salem Park, stretching approximately five miles. There is no registration fee for Fun Run-Walk participants.
