mountain of toys in my kids playroom?
my house is neat and tidy, but this playroom is like a trash heap, i cant even open the door, the toys are piled in about 3ft high. my kids dont even access their stuff to play with it.
everytime i make a start on it,,,its so overwhelming i give up ? any ideas for getting it sorted, organised and neat. without having a breakdown please ? i know its silly, but i have a real mental block with this, and its driving me insane. thanks

Unfortunately you just have to dig in. Get yourself a cup of tea and a snack, sit in the middle of the room with some black sacks and get started.
Bin all the broken stuff, charity stuff they've grown out of etc, rest but in toy boxes in order i.e. bricks together, dolls together, cars, etc..... I also pass little boxes of toys onto other relatives so they have something to play with when they go to their houses.
Again, unfortunately I end up having to do this every 6-12 months. As they accumulate more stuff from birthdays, christmas etc. But if you try to do it fairly often it shouldn't get too bad.
By the way - I also get my kids to help! It's their mess afterall and it teaches them to try and be tidy. Gets better as they get older!
