Does the resistence on a stationary bike make that much of a difference?
I've been using a stationary bike in my bid to get healthy. I had the resistance really high unknowingly and it would take me 30 min to bike 10 miles. Now I've taken the resistance down and I've shaved 10 min off my time. This may sound idiotic but should I push myself so I still work for 30 min or is doing 10 in 20 perfectly fine?

Higher resistance works on your leg muscles more. If you really want to target those muscles, you'll have to try and push yourself a bit. But it will get easier with time. Or you can always try what I do, go through periods of high resistance, middle resistance, and low resistance throughout the time you bike....Just keep trying different things and find what's most comfortable for you =)
