Why You Should NOT Buy A Wii Console
We here at the Wii Showroom have researched the pros and cons of owning a Wii. I will start off by first stating why you should maybe NOT buy a Wii Console (i.e. the not so good). Hmmm...Hmmm...Hmmm...Pondering....Hmmm...there might be a minor issue here and there, but it will be a total waste of time even writing about the cons as they are hardly worth a mention and besides which console does not have one or two flaws.
After such a statement I think we need to start explaining our reasons for why we believe you just can't go wrong with one of these fantastic gaming consoles. NINTENDO WII IS FOR EVERYONE - irrespective of whether you are a hard core 35 year old gamer still living in your old lady's basement because of your gaming obsession or if you are a grandpa who is as scared of anything remotely technology related like someone who is allergic to bee's, and every time you see a console you go running as if it is the mother of all bee hives. The Wii has such a diverse collection of games and is so easy, interactive and fun to play with its intuitive motion controls that everyone in the family, whether it be the hard core gamer nephew or gramps, will enjoy some or other aspect of it.
Watching someone play Wii Games is almost just as much fun as playing yourself, especially if that someone is Grandpa trying to show you a few of his boxing moves while playing Wii Fit Boxing. All he has to do is pick-up the Nunchuks and throw a couple of punches - nothing can be easier. No need for previous gaming experience - except of course grandpa's boxing skills. What I'm trying to get at is that you'll struggle to find a console that will beat the Wii for it's fun interactive gaming, it's user friendliness and it's ability to appeal too so many different generations. If you don't enjoy it you probably also don't like puppies, ice cream or having fun - in which case you’re a lost cause anyways, so sorry, nothing (not even 1000 free Wii games) or no-one will be able to help your grumpy ass (excuse my french, but some folks just don't get it).
I'm sure you want to know a bit more about the Wii Games available so let's quickly go over a couple. I will try and keep it short so that you don't get bored, but still end up having a better understanding as to why wii (and by wii I mean we...get it… wii we wii we wii we, sorry getting a bit carried away with a lame cheesy joke hey?).....why we fully believe this console bridges the generation gap far better than any other cosole.
The Wii Games collection covers just about any type of game you can think of. From the legendary Mario Bros to Sports Games, Racing Games and Adventure Games, to jamming with Guitar Hero. There is definitely a game available for everyone in the Wii collection and too many to mention here (please refer to the Wii Showroom game pages after reading this article to check out some of the best games available). You will have dizzying experiences in Super Mario Galaxy as Mario runs upside down through wild and wonderful alien worlds that are an absolute joy to explore. Even though this is not nescessarily a hard core gamers game, it's probably also not for anyone who is still a bit weary of gaming consoles. There is a host of other Mario games available as well, from Mario Party to Mario Kart.
I believe music tends to get a party going, do you agree? Well then, if you want some entertianment for that next boring family seminar then get out Wii Guitar Hero 5. You can do some serious family bonding when you form a band to jam together, providing you have one of the bundle packages that include various instrument controllers, or each one can be a rockstar on their own. Uncle Sid (or whatever his name is) can do his favourite (and probably ridiculously hillarious) Mick Jagger impression when he sings a Rolling Stones tune. Unfortunately though some peoples singing is either as interesting as listening to the baa sounds of a sheep or as painful and annoying as listening to the mating calls of a cat on heat in the middle of the night. Handing the microphone to every Tom, Dick and Harry is entirely at your own risk. Good times are however a guarantee with this get the party started game!
The other game that defintely needs to be brought to your attention because it's so different is Wii Fit. Now you'll probabbly think I'm crazy, but thanks to Wii exercising has become a whole lot more fun than it use to be? Well I can tell you playing games that takes your mind away from the fact that you're exercising changes things a bit. Before you know it you will be on the balance board doing yoga, skateboarding, rhythm kung fu, aerobics or any of the other exercise type gaming options vailable. Just by playing a few games you'll be working up a sweat, you heart will be getting some exercise and Mr.Couch Potatoe will be doing some exercises without even noticing it. There are some tougher exercise programs and even though these will improve your general fitness and health, I wouldn't back on becoming as fit as Bruce Lee was but at least you'll be exercising and having fun....no jokes....exercise while you’re having fun. Impossible? Just give it a shot Mr.Couch Potatoe.
Time limitation is something that I believe should play a big factor when consoles and games are being designed. Making time for a bit of gaming relaxation in today's fast paced world isn't easy. Most of us just don't have time to become hard core gamers. With our hectic daily lives and responsibilities like work, going to the shops for groceries, studying, family responsibilities, those boring household chores etc. etc. etc.....most of us average Joe's want to kick back and have fun with our gaming consoles without getting too serious about it, hell we already have enough serious in our lives. Nintendo Wii Games provides all of that with the added bonus of being able to provide an awesome interactive social experience. But don't be fooled though, this is no Mickey Mouse Gaming Console. It just makes provision for people with different gaming experience and can also provide for the more hard core gamer. Therefore, in my opinion, you will be extremely hardpressed to find a better all round gaming console.
Irrespective of what other gaming console fans say, The Nintendo Wii is still the most user friendly gaming option around for the avergae man in the street. Then is one more small matter that proves it's not just us who thinks the Wii is awesome.....Nintendo Wii remains the fastest selling console in the history of the gaming industry and that says it all. These are the facts and as they say the proof is in the pudding. Millions upon millions of people have bought and are already enjoying the Wii and surely millions more will. Whether you become part of the worldwide Wii family is of course entirely up to you. Nintendo Wii is truly for you, and me, and everyone out there who wants to enjoy gaming.. So what are you waiting for?
